Materials Needed:ra

  • Ribbon

  • Scissors
  • Floral Tape
  • Floral Wire

Instructions:

1. Making The Petals:
Wrap the yarn, for the main color of your flower, around 4 fingers. The amount of times you wrap the yarn depends on how full you want your flower to be. The flowers above were wrapped 17 times.

2. Making The Stamen: Take a different colored yarn and wrap it around 3 fingers, 7 times. Place this piece of wrapped yarn on top of the yarn made for the petals.

3. Making The Stem: Take a piece of floral wire that is 12" - 17" and fold it in half. Open the wire slightly and place the yarn in the center of the wire and twist to hold the yarn. Next take the floral tape and wrap it around the wire.

4. Finishing Touches: Take the scissor and cut the loops of yarn so that the flower becomes round. Cut the stamen shorter then the rest of the yarn and cut the petals so they are even and not all different lengths. Wrap the floral wire with floral tape. Lastly, after you've finished several flowers, tie a ribbon around your flowers to make a bouquet and watch your mom smile.
